Fishmonger Training

Fishmonger training comes in all shapes and sizes. The Fishmonger Apprenticeship Standard represents the pinnacle of formal fishmonger training, while Seafish’s “new entrant fishmonger learning guide” is a handy “pocket-sized” guide for those happy to do it themselves.

There’s a City & Guilds qualification called the Proficiency in Seafood Skills certificate, this is an older qualification based around the older fish and shellfish industry skills framework.

If you want something more advanced than what the Seafish individual learning guide covers, but not as all encompassing as the Fishmonger Apprenticeship then speak to us.

Our expert fishmonger trainers can put together a bespoke training programme for your business that covers (for example) filleting skills, customer service, seafood knowledge etc.
